Episode #01
Trailer | Travel Gluten Free Podcast
Welcome to the Travel Gluten Free Show
I’m your host Elikqitie, and I’m excited to bring you my new
podcast Travel Gluten Free
I'd first like to thank my podcasting friends who have
supported me in my endeavor: Chris Nesi from the House of Ed Tech
podcast for inspiring me to “podcast first", Dave Jackson from
Ask the Podcast Coach for his excellent Saturday morning
podcasting information and very cool podcasting group and
Emily Peck at “The Story
Behind”podcast who inspires me everyday with the work
that she has done and is doing with a newborn baby in the house and
my husband Jeff Shumate who has given me time to create my
podcast and support my

Freeendeavors!
This was when I realized how challenging it is to be
gluten-free. At every step of changing a recipe or creating a
dish, I realized there are so many variables to consider when
cooking gluten-free. The anxiety which comes from eating anywhere
else besides your kitchen, not being able to eat bread, feeling
like I’m missing out on the enjoyment of food, especially when
dining with friends.
Me being the creative person that I am (and the fact that
wasting time is one of my biggest pet peeves) I started figuring
out shortcuts, inexpensive ways to make gluten-free foods and
products and how to cook and bake gluten-free. I’ve gotten to the
point (after making many, many mistakes) of creating dishes that
even my non-gluten free friends love! I’m even the official dessert
maker of our dinner party group of friends, and they rave about the
cakes and other gluten-free desserts which I have made for
them!
I hope you enjoy my content, and please feel free to reach out
